Note the small triangular bill, green base of bill and lack of black grinning patch that separates the Ross's Goose from the Snow Goose. Ross's Geese are fairly common in winter along the Rio Grande in New Mexico  [December; Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, San Antonio, New Mexico]
